The Potters of Sapa Santo Niño, Pampanga: Three Generations of Master Craftsmen
This community of artisans has upheld the art of pottery for three generations, passing down their skills and knowledge through the years. Using a traditional blend of clay, sand, and water, they handcraft each piece on a potter’s wheel, allowing it to air-dry before firing it in a firewood-burning kiln. This process gives each piece its unique character and lasting strength.
More than functional, these clay creations are a tribute to Pampanga’s rich pottery heritage. Each piece is a testament to the resilience, heritage, and artistry of hands that have shaped clay for decades, connecting past and present through their craft.
